FAQ
I bought Pro but the app still shows me as Free
Open Settings → Subscription and tap Restore Purchase. If that doesn't work, sign in/out of the Mac App Store and re-launch. Pro is tied to the Apple ID that bought it — anyone signed in to that ID on any Mac gets Pro.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — all Mac App Store purchases are refundable through Apple. Open reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Power Cleaner Studio, and request the refund. We don't process refunds ourselves because we never see your payment details.
Power Cleaner Studio refused to trash a file
We refuse paths that look like critical system data — anything inside /System, ~/Library/Mail, your Keychains, ~/.ssh, etc. The audit log (Settings → MCP → View Audit Log) shows the exact reason every refused action printed. If you think we're being too cautious for a specific path, email us.
The Activity Monitor view says I'm using 80% RAM but I only have 3 apps open
macOS treats RAM as a file cache. "Used" includes that cache, which is reclaimable the moment an app needs it. What matters is the Memory Pressure badge: green is fine, orange means compression is kicking in, red means low. Hover the ⓘ next to System Memory inside the app for the full explanation.
Does it work on Intel Macs?
Yes — Apple Silicon and Intel both supported, macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Can I use it without Internet?
Completely. The app doesn't require any network connection to scan, analyze, or clean. The Mac App Store needs network for the initial download and for receipt verification on first launch, then it works offline.
I want to use it with my AI agent (Claude / ChatGPT / Cursor)
Settings → MCP Server → enable. Copy the bearer token + URL into your agent's MCP config. Settings has copy-paste-ready snippets for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, and Cursor.
Why doesn't it have a 'Speed up Mac' button?
Because we'd be lying to you. Most one-click "optimizers" either trigger built-in macOS maintenance that's already running, or they clear caches you'll just rebuild. We surface what's using your resources so YOU can decide.
