Changelog
What's new in Power Cleaner Studio.
Every release notes what changed, what's coming, and why. Pro features are part of the $9 one-time purchase — never an additional charge.
v1.0.0
2026-05-24 Initial release- Full-disk scan with junk classification, duplicate finder, and similar-media (perceptual hash) detection.
- App uninstaller with leftover discovery: scans ~/Library/{Application Support, Caches, Preferences, Containers, Launch Agents, ...} and a 15-app rules database for difficult apps (Adobe, Microsoft, JetBrains, Docker, Xcode, …).
- One-click 'Scan Related Files Now' on the uninstaller — no Full Disk Access required.
- Activity Monitor with live system CPU + RAM gauges, smart Highlights strip, memory-pressure badge, and one-click Quit on hungry processes.
- Quick Cleanup recipes for Xcode DerivedData/Archives, Homebrew cache, and Trash bins.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so AI agents like Claude Code, ChatGPT Desktop, and Cursor can read scan results. Destructive tools are gated and off by default.
- DestructivePathPolicy with a fuzz-tested corpus of 39 dangerous paths: /System, ~/Library/Mail, ~/.ssh, ~/.aws, ~/.kube, and more.
- Free / Pro split: scan + browse + monitor for free, cleanup actions unlock with a $9 one-time Pro purchase.
- Localized in English and Arabic (sidebar + navigation; more strings rolling out per release).
Coming next
- Cleaner recipes: Node / npm / pnpm cache, Docker images cache.
- Sparkline-history per process in Activity Monitor (lazy-loaded on row selection).
- Onboarding sheet on first launch with one-tap Documents permission request.
- Localization rollout: Arabic across the entire app, French, Japanese, Spanish.
No timeline promises — features ship when they're solid. Pro buyers always get the new stuff free.
