Privacy Policy

Short version

Power Cleaner Studio runs entirely on your Mac. We don't have a server. We can't see your files, paths, scan results, or anything else, because there's nowhere for that data to go.

We don't ask for your email, we don't run an analytics SDK, and we don't share data with anyone. The only network traffic the app makes is to Apple's App Store for receipt verification when you buy Pro.

What we collect

Category What we do
Personal information None. No name, email, address, or account.
Identifiers None. No advertising ID, no device fingerprint.
Analytics None. No SDKs from Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, etc.
Crash reports Off by default. If you opt in (Settings → Privacy → Send Diagnostics), Apple receives anonymous crash logs through the standard macOS pipeline. We never see your file paths.
Scan results Stay on your Mac in a local SQLite file (~/Library/Application Support/Power Cleaner Studio/). They never leave the device.
MCP (optional) The in-app MCP server only binds to localhost. It does not initiate outbound connections. Clients must present a bearer token you copy from Settings.
In-App Purchase Apple handles the transaction. We receive only the App Store receipt — not your name, email, or payment method.

Data you give us

When you contact us by email at info@meditechus.com, you're sending us whatever you write — usually a description of an issue and your macOS version. We use that only to reply and fix the problem.

We don't add you to a mailing list. We don't sell your address. We don't keep emails longer than needed to close the ticket.

Permissions the app asks for

  • Folders you pick. When you add a scan location, macOS prompts you. We store a security-scoped bookmark so the folder stays accessible across launches.
  • Downloads, Pictures, Music, Movies (Mac App Store build). Standard storage entitlements so you can scan those folders without re-granting each time.
  • Local network (optional MCP server). Required by macOS to bind a localhost listener. We never initiate connections, we accept them.
  • Login Item (optional). If you enable "Launch at login" in Settings, we register through Apple's SMAppService. You can remove it any time from System Settings → Login Items.

Children's privacy

Power Cleaner Studio is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone — child or adult — beyond the App Store receipt described above.

Third parties

Apple. The Mac App Store distributes the app and handles your purchase. Apple's privacy policy covers that transaction.

That's the only third party involved. No subprocessors, no CDN that fingerprints visitors, no chat widget on the marketing site.

Your rights

Since we don't have your data, most data-protection rights (access, deletion, portability) have nothing to act on. To delete every trace of the app from your Mac:

  1. Quit Power Cleaner Studio
  2. Use the app's own Uninstaller (or any tool) to remove the app bundle
  3. Delete ~/Library/Application Support/Power Cleaner Studio/
  4. Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.dribrahimm.PowerCleanerStudio.plist

Changes to this policy

We may update this page if the app's behavior changes. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be called out in the app's changelog as well.
